Typicals flat cables: smart solutions for power, DALI and KNX
After the success of our sensor typcials, we now present a complete overview of typcials for flat cable systems. This documentation has been developed to support installers, consultants, and project managers in delivering fast, well-structured, and future-proof installations. Flat cable systems offer a smart solution for distributing power and signals in buildings. Thanks to the flat cable structure and the use of Wieland GST® tap-off adapters, installation is not only quick but also maintenance-free. Modifications or expansions can be carried out easily without extensive cabling work, resulting in significant time and cost savings during installation as well as operation and maintenance.
The new typcials showcase the versatility of the Wieland range. For standard applications, there is the Gesis® NRG flat cable for 3-phase power, ideal for reliable power distribution in commercial buildings. Want to combine power and lighting control? Then the Gesis® NRG cable with integrated DALI signal conductors offers a compact solution, allowing luminaires to be connected directly via GST18® adapters. For intelligent building control, there is a variant with KNX integration, which brings power and communication together in a single cable. For industrial environments where robustness and protection are crucial, Wieland introduces the Podis® flat cable with an IP65 rating. This cable withstands moisture, dust, and harsh conditions and ensures a safe and flexible installation, even in the most demanding environments.
